Edible Banana Marshmallow Pudding Slime

July 10, 2018 By Kristy (Crafts 4 Toddlers) 17 Comments

Kids love to make slime and the slime craze certainly doesn’t seem like it’s going away anytime soon. We love experimenting with different slime recipes and this Banana Marshmallow Pudding Slime is so easy, and edible! It smells like the banana cream pudding that Grandma would make for a special treat. :)

Pudding Slime is Toddler Safe:

Pudding slime is safe and non-toxic which makes this the perfect slime for toddlers. We love using edible slime for sensory play because we don’t have to worry about our kids eating something they shouldn’t. Plus, this banana marshmallow slime smells SO good that your kids will also be using their sense of smell for this fun sensory activity.

Note: Keep in mind that this borax and glue free slime will not feel the same way as it is made with taste safe ingredients for kids. I would describe it as being the child if play dough and slime had a baby. :)

It was a fun idea to add the marshmallows to the edible slime mixture for the extra texture experience. An added perk, feel free to eat a few marshmallows yourself! My kids certainly wouldn’t object. :)

Banana Marshmallow Pudding Slime Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup Cornstarch
  • 1/4 Cup Banana Cream Instant Pudding Mix
  • 1/3 Cup Warm Water
  • Handful of Mini Marshmallows (or however many you prefer)

Easy Edible Slime Instructions:

1. Gather all of your ingredients needed. Add 1/4 cup banana cream instant pudding mix to a bowl.

2. Add half of the corn starch to the bowl.

3. Add 1/3 cup warm water and mix.

4. Add remaining half of corn starch and mix. I find this part easier to do with my hands.

5. Add handful of marshmallows and mix in with your hands.

6. That’s it! Enjoy your easy edible slime.

Tip: If your slime is still too sticky add a little more corn starch. Or if it is too firm or dry then add a little more water. You might have to make some adjustments here and there until you get your desired consistency.

Thanks to The Soccer Mom Blog for the slime recipe inspiration. :)

This would be a great craft for my boys. If they like it then could do the craft at boy scouts.

My kids are obsessed with slime too, But the fun part here is that they can actually eat it, so I wouldn’t worry about toxicity. Thanks for this recipe!

Though I don’t understand the kids’ obsession with slime, it is quite relaxing feeling to play it (just don’t mess it).
Thanks for sharing your recipe :D

This looks so super cool! We just made slime at our local Michael’s store this past week. I know my Kiddies would love a recipe that allows them to have their slime as a snack ….

I’m going to try it with chocolate pudding since that is the only flavor in my cupboard right now. I might add chocolate jimmies (sprinkles) for texture. It smells wonderful!
